One of the most famous locomotives in the world, the Flying Scotsman, took its first public steam test-run in more than a decade on Friday.
The train, which has spent many years out of public service, began its first runs on the East Lancashire Railway after much painstaking restoration.

The Scotsman has been restored for the National Railway Museum at York by engineering firms Riley & Son Ltd.
Works have been taking place in a train in Bury.
