'Celebrity Big Brother' Housemate Angie Bowie Rules Out Reuniting With Son Duncan Jones, Following David Bowie's Death

Angie Reveals Why She WON'T Be Reuniting With Estranged Son

Angie Bowie has opened up about her relationship with her son, Duncan Jones, admitting that she isn’t planning to get back in contact with him following the death of her ex-husband David Bowie.

The ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star chose to remain in the Borehamwood bungalow after being told the sad news, and went on to have a series of revealing conversations with her fellow housemates.

In scenes aired in Wednesday night’s show, Gemma Collins was speaking with Angie, who has not had any contact with 44-year-old Duncan in 28 years, when she said: “My dream for you is that your son gets in contact with you.”

However, Angie quickly shot down the idea, stating: "Oh, no. Thank you, though. I appreciate it.”

As Nancy Dell’Olio gently continued with the line of questioning, Angie explained that she respected her son’s decision to cease contact, adding that when she split from David, she made a conscious choice not to separate father and son.

"When they're a grown man, it's enough now” she said. “He decided he didn't want to see me anymore.

“He decided, you know. He decided he didn't want to see me, and that was fine. Not a problem."

“I didn't not want custody," she added. "I was never going to take him away from his father because they were tight as can be, it was just one of those things.”

The way that 'Celebrity Big Brother' handled David Bowie's death has been called into question by a number of viewers, and the house descended into chaos during Tuesday night’s show, when Tiffany Pollard misinterpreted Angie, and spent a short time believing David Gest was dead.

While many TV fans took to Twitter to discuss the scenes, Ofcom also received over 200 complaints, and are currently considering whether to launch a full investigation.
