'Celebrity Big Brother': Viewers Complain To Ofcom, Following Stephanie Davis Underwear Row

‘Celebrity Big Brother’ viewers have bombarded Ofcom with complaints, after a row emerged when Stephanie Davis’ dirty underwear was made fun of by many other housemates.

John Partridge, Christopher Maloney and Darren Day were the first housemates to discover the underwear, with Gemma Collins and Danniella Westbrook later joining in with voicing their disgust.

The ensuing row, which aired on Saturday night, has already prompted 165 complaints to media regulators Ofcom, who have now said they will be assessing the complaints.

Stephanie accused Danniella and Gemma of 'bullying' her

Speaking to Metro, an Ofcom spokesperson said: “We received 165 complaints about Saturday’s programme. We will assess these complaints before deciding whether or not to investigate.”

The argument later provoked Danniella and Gemma to storm out of the house via the fire exit, though they returned hours later.

The current series of ‘CBB’ has sparked complaints to the broadcasting watchdog on a number of occasions, beginning on the first night, when housemate Winston McKenzie faced a backlash for his comments about gay men before he’d even set foot in the house.

A week later, and viewers were complaining in their droves yet again, this time when Tiffany Pollard reacted dramatically after mistakenly believing that fellow housemate David Gest had died in the ‘CBB’ house, when, in fact, Angie Bowie was revealing the loss of her ex-husband, David Bowie.

This was followed days later by another dramatic event, when security were sent into the house to calm down Megan McKenzie after a furious meltdown, which once again sparked complaints to Ofcom.

‘CBB’ airs nightly on Channel 5 at 9pm.
