The news of Sir Terry Wogan’s death strikes a particularly emotional chord, as the veteran broadcaster was a rare thing in television today, a broadcaster beloved by people of all generations.
It doesn’t matter your age, everybody has their own specific memory attached to Sir Terry - whether it’s his his early days on the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show or fronting his own chat show, or his many years providing commentary for the UK broadcast of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. Younger TV fans will no doubt remember him for fronting the Children In Need charity telethon every year.
