Jeremy’s relationship with Stephanie Davis has been the talk of the series - mainly because she was in a relationship with Sam when she entered the house - and it seems that Jeremy isn’t about to apologise for the situation anytime soon.
Jeremy left in Friday's eviction
During a chat with The Sun, Jeremy has defended his actions, claiming that Stephanie and Sam weren’t as loved up as they seemed.
He tells the paper: “I know she wouldn’t sacrifice a relationship that she thought was solid or she wanted to marry this guy.
"Steph told me things that she wasn’t happy about. Obviously there were chinks in the chain in Steph’s relationship. She wasn’t happy. She’s never been treated by a guy who has her best interests at heart.”
“Her self-esteem is rock bottom because of the way she’s been treated in the past,” he concludes. “When you feel like you can look after someone better than that then you do want to step in.”
Sam and Stephanie
Jeremy and Steph’s relationship has developed significantly during the series, and last week, viewers speculated over just how far things had advanced, when the duo spent a significant amount of time under the covers.
Stephanie’s also spoken candidly about her relationship with Sam, admitting that she needs to be single, while he’s reportedly ready to dump the former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress as soon as she leaves the house.
