Most couples make promises to love each other "for better or for worse" on their wedding day.
But one bride added a splash of humour to the occasion by presenting her husband with a ring engraved with the phrase: "Put it back on."
The bride, Amanda Tallman, and her husband Dan have been laughing about the ring since they got married in 2013.
But their shared joke became a viral sensation after Dan's groomsman Jordan Goddard shared a photo of the ring on Imgur earlier this week.
Writing on Imgur, Jordan said: "My best friend's wife had this engraved into his wedding ring. They have an awesome hilarious marriage and this is just a slice of her humour."
The image has now been viewed more than 900,000 times.
Dan told the MailOnline that Amanda slid a note to an employee at the jewellers while they were getting their rings fitted.
"I didn't think much of it. When the ring came in and I tried it on for size, that's the first time that I saw it. I laughed along with the rest of the store," he said.
"When I thought about it, it made sense because it's how Amanda is. Our relationship is one full of love and laughter and some good humorous jokes.
"We have a terrific marriage and we had a terrific relationship prior to that."
