Jacqueline Jossa has shared her excitement ahead of her return to ‘EastEnders’, revealing that she’s hoping her character Lauren Branning has some big storylines ahead.
MORE 'EASTENDERS':
The actress left the soap on maternity leave back in February 2015, though she did return for a brief stint in September.
Jacqueline welcomed her first daughter with fiancé Dan Osborne last year
Now, Jacqueline’s preparing to return for good, and Fabulous magazine states that the actress will recommence filming in the coming months.
Speaking to the mag, Jacqueline explains: “To me, ‘EastEnders’ is home and I could never imagine not going back. I feel ready now – Ella is at a good age.
“I don’t feel like I’m being a horrible mum, whereas before I was like: ‘No, I’m never leaving her, ever!’
“I’ve been itching to get back, and I get jealous when I see it.
“Lacey [Turner, Stacey Branning] has been my idol since before I even joined the cast, and I watch her and can’t wait to get back and just smash it.
“I love a big, angry storyline. I just want more pain. It’s boring when they’re happy. ‘EastEnders’ is best at misery, sadness and anger, and I just miss screaming, crying – they’re the scenes I am best at.”
In the months since Lauren left the Square, plenty has happened and Max Branning is currently serving a life sentence in prison, after being wrongly convicted for the murder of Lucy Beale.
At present, Laure is living in New Zealand with boyfriend Peter Beale and their son Louie.
