Caroline Flack has announced that she won’t be returning to present ‘The X Factor’ this year, following the news that her co-presenter, Olly Murs, has also quit.
After just one series at the helm, Caroline confirmed on Monday (22 February) that she's stepping down from the presenting role, just hours after Olly revealed that he was also leaving the show.
Speaking about her decision to walk, Caroline said: “I have had a brilliant time working on 'The X Factor' over the last few years, and hosting the main show was just fantastic, I made some amazing friends.

“I’m looking forward to carrying on working with the team over at ITV.”
Caroline is the third ‘X Factor’ star to quit in just one week, with Nick Grimshaw revealing on Friday that he had decided not to continue on the judging panel, less than a year after taking over the job from long-term judge Louis Walsh.
Grimmy explained, following the news about his exit: “I did love it and it's not a diss to the show. It's a great show and I loved it. But it's definitely a once in a lifetime style thing. This isn't me storming out of X Factor being like, 'Screw you, Cheryl!'”
While Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini are both thought to be returning for this year’s series, it was reported over the weekend that the music mogul was also determined to hold onto Rita Ora, who he believes could “save the series”.
Attention now turns to who will take over presenting duties from Olly and Caroline, with reports earlier this month that former presenter Dermot O’Leary could be returning to the ITV show.
