Quadcopters are increasingly terrifying robotic flying machines, which are not only capable of flying in formation and playing catch with javelins, but also - apparently - holding a PR stunt.
30 of the flying machines were recently used above the skies of London in a dramatic light show to 'celebrate' (sigh) the release of the new Star Trek film.
The drones were used to create a floating 'Star Trek' insignia more than 300 feet tall, at a height of about 118 feet to 426 feet above the capital.
The stunt was the work of Ars Electronica, who detailed the process of putting the show together and pulling it off in detail on their blog.
Take a look at the result above.
