Like most newlyweds with a young baby, a lovely family home was high on the list of wants for Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch.

And a lovely family home is just what they have bought, splashing out a cool £4.5million on Freddie Flintoff's old Cheshire abode.

Moving north after his transfer from Spurs to Stoke City was never going to mean a Corrie style back-to-back terrace, but surely even the Crouch-Clancys have lucked out big time with their new home?

The six-bedroom house - which cricketer Freddie Flintoff had built to his own specifications - has a gym, a cinema room and swimming pool in its vast 10,200 square feet of living space. And it has proved a relative bargain for Abbey and Peter too, as Flintoff was forced to reduce the original £5million asking price after the house remained unsold for two years.

The luxury gaff was said to have sealed the deal on Abbey agreeing to leave London for the north, with a pal of the couple telling The People: 'Abbey worried over leaving London but she's chuffed to be in Alderley Edge.'

And with the couple's new neighbours including Coleen Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, there's little doubt they will fit right in...
