Having been talked about for years, the ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ film is one of the most anticipated of recent times, but we can confirm the wait is nearly over, as the cast have finally begun filming.
Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley were spotted back in character as infamous hell-raisers Eddie Monsoon and Patsy Stone, as they shot scenes in the South of France.
The pair were seen knocking back some bolly as they resumed the roles, which they first played on the BBC sitcom back in 1992.

While little is known about what the pair will get up to in the new movie, we do know that it will begin with the PR guru and the fashion editor waking up on an oligarch's deserted yacht, drifting off the French coast.
Teasing the storyline further, Jennifer, who has also penned the script, told fans earlier this year: “Eddy and Patsy are looking for what they imagine glamorous life should be. They're constantly searching for that perfect place to sit or that perfect pair of sunglasses. It's Shangri-La and it just might be round the next corner.
“In the meantime, they decide to take Saffy's daughter off her – she calls her Jane, I call her Lola – but then they lose her.”
June Whitfield (Mother), Julia Sawalha (Saffy) and Jane Horrocks (Bubble) will all also reprise their roles for the upcoming film, while it’s reported there will be cameo appearances from Harry Styles, Kelly Hoppen and Kim Kardashian.
Jennifer has also confirmed that Kate Moss, Emma Bunton and Lulu will be involved in the project, having all enjoyed guest stints in the series.
‘Ab Fab’ first hit TV screens in 1992, and since then, 40 episodes of the show have been made.
Most recently three 20th anniversary episodes aired in 2011/12, one of which celebrated the London Olympic Games.
