Maroon 5's Adam Levine made a young fan's dream come true when he invited him backstage to hang out with the band at a recent show.
Ten-year-old Christopher Warner, who has Down's syndrome, says he is Levine's number one fan and never stops singing the band's songs or talking about Levine's tattoos.
“He has just been fascinated with Maroon 5 and especially Adam Levine,” said Avery Stanert, Warner's special education teacher at West Friendship Elementary School in Maryland told TODAY.com. “He loves to listen to their music during work breaks. He draws pictures of them. He just absolutely loves them.”
When Stanert uploaded a compilation video of Warner dancing to Maroon 5 to YouTube (watch it above), and it quickly went viral and was picked up by local media.
But radio hosts on Hot 99.5’s The Kane Show, went the extra mile and organised some very special VIP treatment for the adoring fan.
Warner, his family and a handful of teachers (including Stanert) were invited backstage to meet the band.
But when Warner actually came face-to-face with his idol he "had a panic attack" and curled up on the floor behind his mother.
Quick-thinking Levine was not phased by the events and suggested everyone lay on the floor with Warner to help him calm down.

“It’s always cool to make that connection with a listener and see his dream being made and meeting Adam Levine,” Kane Show intern John told Fox 5 News. “It’s cool being a part of that and being able to watch back and say, ‘Wow, we actually made a difference in somebody’s life today.'”
