Adele To Top Glastonbury Set With Super Bowl Halftime Show Performance?

Worthy Farm will be a doddle compared to this.

Adele might have thought she’d hit the music jackpot when she was drafted in to headline at this year’s Glastonbury festival, but it’s now been claimed she’s landed an even more prestigious gig.

Fresh from her headlining slot at the UK’s biggest music event, as well as closing the show at the Brit Awards earlier this year, Adele is reportedly top of producers’ wish lists to perform at the halftime show during next year’s Super Bowl.

According to The Sun, NFL bosses are “desperate” to snag Adele for next year’s event, which saw more than 115 million people tuning in to watch last year.

Last year, fellow Brits Coldplay were the music act brought in to perform at the halftime show, but it was Beyoncé who truly stole the show with her politically-charged rendition of ‘Formation’.

Past stars to hit the Super Bowl pitch in recent years have also included Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Madonna, all of whom broke the record for highest viewers in Super Bowl history with their performances.

However, this might not be what Adele needs to hear, with The Sun’s source adding: “It’s Adele’s nerves that are the issue - it hasn’t been an easy sell.”

Adele is currently still performing on her world tour, which wraps up in November.
