Adele To Storm 'X Factor' Final With Comeback Performance

The Big Comeback - Adele To Storm 'X Factor' Final

Adele will be taking to the stage at The X Factor final, according to reports, performing for the first time since having to pull out of a string of gigs because of a throat condition.

The Sun said the Someone Like You singer was hand-picked for the ITV1 show's Wembley Arena bash in December by Simon Cowell in February, following her Brits performance.

Adele, who was forced to cancel US and UK shows after she was diagnosed with a vocal cord haemorrhage in October, will be performing a duet with one finalist, the newspaper said.

She recently told her fans she's "on the mend" and that the "operation was a success".

A source told the newspaper: "Her management said this week she is still planning to make it. It's amazing news for fans and viewers."

The news comes as The X Factor quarter finals theme has been confirmed - Guilty Pleasures and Heroes.

All five acts - Little Mix, Janet Devlin, Amelia Lily, Misha B and Marcus Collins - will have to sing two songs on Saturday night for their survival.

Chart star Jessie J and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs will also be performing on the stage during Sunday night's results show.

Tulisa Contostavlos's girl-group Little Mix have emerged as the bookmakers' new favourites to win the competition, over the past week.

Gary Barlow has asked the girls to "strip things back" this week to show that they can rely on just their vocal talent.
