Ainsley Harriott's Dancing Steals The Show During Jools Holland's Hootenanny

What better way to ring in 2020 is there than watching Ainsley bust a move?

As ever, Jools Holland rang in the new year with a star-studded edition of his annual Hootenanny celebration, which featured performances from some of the biggest names in music.

But despite roping in the likes of Stormzy, Stereophonics and La Roux to help him see in 2020 in style, there was really only one man who captured both our attention and our hearts.

We are, of course, talking about Ainsley Harriott.

Although he was only an audience member in the New Year’s Eve celebration, Ainsley still stole the show when he was seen displaying some rather interesting hand-flapping dance moves during La Roux’s performance of her new single International Woman Of Mystery.

The TV chef was also up on his feet during Rick Astley’s rendition of the classic Never Gonna Give You Up, and we weren’t the only ones captivated by his moves…

The 62-year-old certainly has cause for celebration as we head into 2020, after it was revealed last week that he was to be awarded an MBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours.

Sadly, the accolade was for his services to broadcasting and to the culinary arts, rather than his dancing ability, but after his Hootenanny appearance, can the knighthood really be far off?

As you may well recall, Ainsley was previously a contestant on the 13th series of Strictly Come Dancing, back in 2015, where he was partnered with Natalie Lowe.

Somehow, the pair ended up being the fourth to be eliminated, after their Jive to Shake, Rattle And Roll seemingly failed to impress the public.
