Arsenal have had an €8 million bid rejected for Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato.
According to reports in Brazil, Corinthians want €12m for the former AC Milan striker, who only returned to Brazil in January.
Pato, 24, would offer Arsenal a further option up front, with the impressive Olivier Giroud currently short of competition. Flop Nicklas Bendtner is manager Arsène Wenger's only other alternative.

Lancenet say the Premier League leaders have been in contact with Corinthians over the striker's availability, days after he received abuse from the club's supporters during the goalless draw with Internacional.
Pato has come in for criticism since a woeful penalty in Corinthians' Copa do Brasil shootout defeat to Grêmio in October, and he has started just three of the club's last 11 league games.
The Brazilian international joined Corinthians for €15m just under a year ago, and is said to be concerned about his lack of game-time ahead of the 2014 World Cup.
