A year after the release of the truly tragic Aliens: Colonial Marines, Sega has given us the first glimpse of the next Aliens-based video game. And it looks horrifying too - but this time, in a good way.
'Aliens Isolation' looks set to return the series to its survival horror roots, with an emphasis on terror-stricken exploration rather than guns-blazing super charged action.
The long-rumoured game, developed by Creative Assembly, will hit PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC in late 2014.
“In Alien: Isolation, we have taken the series back to the roots of Ridley Scott’s 1979 movie, the original survival horror,” Creative Assembly’s creative lead Alistair Hope said, according to MCV.
“Our Alien is a truly terrifying creature, as intelligent as he is hostile, relentless, brutal and unstoppable. This is the Alien game fans of the series have always wanted.”
