Bynes was questioned when found with the "campfire," and sheriff's deputies later determined she was in need of mental evaluation.

She was reportedly put under a 5150 hold, a section of the California Welfare code, which regulates involuntary hospitalisation. It is used "when any person, as a result of mental disorder, is a danger to others, or to himself or herself, or gravely disabled."

Bynes can only be held for 72-hours under the 5150 order for assessment.

The website also reports the troubled former teen star accidentally drenched her pet Pomeranian with gasoline while building the fire in the residential neighbourhood and then raced to a nearby shop to clean the pooch. Watch their video footage of the incident here.

This comes as the latest in a deluge of questionable activity, including being kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton where she allegedly racked up a huge room service bill between just her and her dog.
