Amanda Holden Rinses Piers Morgan As They Meet Up During French Getaways

The pair have remained close pals after Piers' stint on the Britain's Got Talent panel.

Amanda Holden wasted no time in rinsing Piers Morgan as the pair met up during their respective family holidays.

The former Britain’s Got Talent colleagues got together with their broods for a slap-up lunch in the south of France on Thursday.

Mandy was recognised by a group of young Dutch fans, who asked to have their picture taken with her.

Piers was relegated to acting as the photographer, and Amanda couldn’t resist making a quip about him as she posted a photo of their meeting on Instagram.

She wrote: “Thrilled to be known & asked for a photo from these lovely children from the #netherlands and the #photographer @piersmorgan (no clue who he is).”

Piers chose to share a cosier snap of him and Amanda, who were two of the original judges on Britain’s Got Talent.

Piers is currently on holiday with his three grown-up sons, Spencer, Bertie and Stanley, wife Celia Walden and their eight-year-old daughter Elise.

Amanda has been holidaying with her husband Chris Hughes and their daughters Lexi, 14, and eight-year-old Hollie.

Amanda and Piers have remained close friends since they worked together on BGT from 2007 to 2011.

Speaking to Metro about their friendship, she said of the Good Morning Britain presenter: “He is somebody that always puts things into perspective. He certainly makes me laugh. If I ever need any advice about anything, I think, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe that’s been written about me or said’, he’s always like, ‘Just think about the bigger picture or what it means’, and I adore him for that.’

“I know who he really is, he plays a pantomime baddie on GMB, but in reality he’s a very funny family man who does have huge opinions on things but is happy to listen, always happy to do you a favour.”

She added: “If I was in dire straits I would pick up the phone to Piers and he knows I would do the same for him so he’s a proper friend.”
