Cara Delevingne, Kate Beckinsale and 'Rush' star Daniel Bruhl appear in the first trailer for 'Face of Angel', a film drama inspired by the events surrounding Meredith Kercher's death in Italy, and the trial of Amanda Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito.

The film is directed by Michael Winterbottom (most celebrated for his work with Steve Coogan, including 'The Trip'), and based on the book 'Angel Face: Sex, Murder and the Inside Story of Amanda Knox' by American journalist Barbie Latza Nadeau.

Kate Beckinsale plays an author, and Daniel Bruhl a filmmaker who travels to Italy to research an adaptation of it, but who becomes involved with a British student Melanie, played by Delevingne.

The film has no official release date yet, but is expected to be snapped up for distribution at the European Film Market.

Amanda Knox is freshly protesting her innocence in the real-life trial, after being freshly convicted by an Italian court.
