Amy Schumer Proves She's A Greek Goddess In Body Positive Post

'Your body is not bad, ugly, or wrong. Embrace your inner goddess.'

Amy Schumer has shared a kickass photo of herself juxtaposed next to the goddess Aphrodite.

And it's well and truly put all the body-shamers in their place.

The photo montage was originally created by a fan called Whitney who shared it on Instagram along with an inspirational caption about why we should all be proud of our bodies.

It shows a distinct likeness between the Greek goddess and the Hollywood star.

Whitney wrote: "I want to remind everyone that they do not have to be a Victoria's Secret model to be a beautiful goddess with a beautiful body."

Schumer reposted the image on her Instagram account yesterday and thanked Whitney for sharing it.

Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, pleasure, and procreation.

In the caption for the original post, Whitney wrote: "On the left is a sculpture of the goddess Aphrodite, who is renowned for her beauty. On the right is @amyschumer

"What a wonderful resemblance between two beautiful women."

She continued: "So many women and young girls are shamed by the media and fashion industry for not having a flat stomach and not being a size zero.

"But look, the goddess of beauty is portrayed here with stomach rolls and doesn't have a perfectly smooth, toned body.

"I want to remind everyone that they do not have to be a Victoria's Secret model to be a beautiful goddess with a beautiful body.

"Your body is not bad, ugly, or wrong. Embrace your inner goddess."

Amen to that.
