Mitch Winehouse Slams Channel 5 Over Amy 'Autopsy' Show

Mitch Winehouse has taken to Twitter, slamming the upcoming Channel 5 show ‘Autopsy: The Last Hours Of Amy Winehouse’.

Amy’s father has taken aim at the channel, and singled out one of his daughter’s pals, Alex Foden, who - according to Mitch - has assisted the making of the show.

He even went as far as saying: “Blake was a saint compared to him”.

Mitch, who was also vocal with his disappointment in Asif Kapadia's ‘Amy’ documentary, voiced his concerns on Twitter, pleading: “Leave my daughter alone.”

He posted a string of tweets, which read:

While the ‘Amy’ documentary - which Mitch also slammed - was met with rave reviews from critics, the ‘Autopsy’ shows have often been criticised.

Earlier this year, Channel 5’s Robin Williams episode was labelled “distasteful” and fans on both sides of the pond questioned whether some controversial scenes were necessary.

The show’s format typically includes talking heads and medical industry experts, who examine public documents, and attempt explain the nature of the celebrity’s death.

As the discussions develop, an actor plays the role of the star, and acts out various scenes.

Other previous ‘Autopsy’ specials have investigated the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston and Anna Nicole Smith.
