Loose Women star Andrea McLean pulled out of the ITV daytime show yesterday following a panic attack.

The presenter was found sobbing by bosses, a few days after she revealed her marriage had come to an end.

A source tells the The Mirror: "Andrea has had a bit of a week of it and it all caught up with her today. She had a panic attack half an hour before the programme started and couldn't stop crying.

"It was clear she wouldn't be able to take part and so she went home."

Andrea's second marriage to builder Steve Toms broke down at Christmas. She confirmed the news on This Morning earlier this week ahead of the publication of her autobiography Confessions of a Good Girl.

She said at the time: "I'm a bit broken to be honest. I didn't want this to be how my life turned out."

This Morning co-host Ruth Langsford had to step in at the last minute to replace her on Loose Women for the Friday show.

The 42-year-old mother of two is expected to be back on the programme next week.
