Fiona Bruce was attacked with foam while filming the Antiques Roadshow in North Devon last month
In a Rupert Murdoch style attack the newsreader, who has been the victim of stalking, was targeted by pranksters.
Two men have been arrested and issued with £80 fixed penalty fines for the incident, which took place while filming at Hartland Abbey.
A BBC spokesman told the Daily Telegraphneither Miss Bruce or Antiques Roadshow wanted to comment on the assault.
Bruce's attackers, aged 42 and 32, received a much lighter sentence than Murdoch's foam thrower, Jonathan May-Bowles, 26, who received a six week jail sentence.
