One of Hollywood’s toughest figures joined 90,000 spectators at London’s Wembley Stadium to watch British boxer Anthony Joshua take on Wladimir Klitschko, in what was billed the country’s biggest boxing spectacle since World War II.
Former bodybuilder turned film star turned politician Arnold Schwarzenegger was ringside when Anthony Joshua recovered from being floored in the sixth round to knock out his rival in the 11th round, and secure the WBA world heavyweight title, to add to his IBF crown.
Other famous faces in the crowd included retired footballer Rio Ferdinand, glamour girl Danielle Lloyd, former boxing champion Frank Bruno, and Peter Andre.
Arnie later tweeted his congratulations to Anthony, and respect for both fighters.
One of the Chuckle Brothers, Barry, was apparently seen ringside with Jay-Z, but this picture was, sadly, later confirmed as fake.
Following Anthony’s victory, London Mayor was seen helping hold his victory belt, and later tweeted his praise for the Watford-born champion.
His stunning victory looks set to make Anthony Joshua British sport’s first billionaire. Last night’s win alone has secured him an estimated purse of £20million.
