A 25-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating how a woman died after falling from a building.
The 23-year-old woman fell from a property on Albert Road, in Middlesbrough, shortly after 3am yesterday, Cleveland Police said.
A force spokesman said it appeared she fell from the rear of the building, known as Albert Mews.
She said: "A post-mortem examination has been carried out and the cause of death has been established as head injuries.
"At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained."
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The spokeswoman appealed for anyone in the area at the time to come forward.
