Assassin's Creed 5 isn't exactly a total mystery at this point. We know that Ubisoft's next parkour-killer adventure will come in two parts ('Unity' ironically, is just for Xbox One/PS4 while 'Comet' is for PS3/360).
We know that one part at least will be set in the French revolution, and the Comet part will likely let the player act as a Templar for the first time.
So when's it out?
Our best guess?
Since AC4 was released on October 29, 2013, and Ubisoft will likely be targeting a similar date, we'd suggest Ocotber 28 2014 (which is also a Tuesday) as a likely candidate.
Of course, without anything official it's impossible to know for sure.
All we really have to go on at the moment is this statement from Ubisoft...
"Qu'ils mangent de la brioche [Let them eat cake]! We have been working on the new Assassin's Creed for more than three years and although we weren't quite ready to show you our full vision for a next-gen only AC, it seems Abstergo are trying to force our hand!"
"So here's a true first look at in-game footage from Assassin's Creed Unity. Stay tuned - we'll have many more exciting details for you in the months ahead!"
