Nineteen-year-old Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has been pictured appearing to be passed out and lying on a roadside in Tenerife.
In the picture shared by Briony King on Twitter, the footballer is star-fished in the middle of the road surrounded by his belongings.
King captioned the photo: "Jack Grealish had a great night, opposite my apartment in the wonderful Tenerife."
She replied to speculation that the image wasn't Grealish by posting a photo of him and one of her friends earlier on in the evening.
King said that she hadn't expected her tweet to explode, and responded to comments that she was talking to the press saying: "What's to tell? I saw an idiot drunk and my boyfriend took a pic."
Grealish posted a photo on Twitter a few hours after the incident implying the photos might not be him.
However, Aston Villa have released a statement that says: "The club is aware of the photographs of Jack Grealish currently circulating. We will be meeting with the player but any action will remain an internal matter."
They added: "There will be no further comment from the club."
