Avril Lavigne arrived back on the scene for a secret performance in California and ticked all the boxes required for her rock chick status.
The singer added a spot of colour to her black leather skirt and jacket combo in a pair of leopard print heels for her performance at The Viper Room in West Hollywood.
With her tousled locks looking fab, Avril - complete with her signature thick black eye makeup - was beaming as she made her return to the music world.
The 28-year-old tweeted her excitement before the secret gig. She said: "Can't wait for tonight! @theVIPERroom 7:00pm...see you there! #AvrilLIVE"
She then sent another message out to fans saying she couldn't wait "to rock out".
