But while the festival is having a bright beginning, the rest of the weekend is forecast to be plagued by rain.

On Friday night 'Praise You' DJ Fatboy Slim will throw a huge 10th anniversary birthday bash.

He told The Huffington Post UK: "It’s an absolute honour to return for this momentous occasion – staying creative and independent in these times."

The big beat Brit Award-winning DJ will play an exclusive set, which he's dubbed 'Fatboy Slim's Bestival Birthday Bash', complete with mega-hits from 'Everybody Needs A 303' to 'Star 69 (What The F*ck)'.

Rap superstar Snoop Dogg will bring his gangster style to the Isle on Saturday night, while Rocket Man Elton will close the event on Sunday.

Lionel Richie's head is a star attraction at the festival

Also taking to the stage at this year's festival will be MIA, Jessie Ware, Rudimental, Franz Ferdinand, Flaming Lips, The Knife, Wu-Tang Clan, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Annie Mac Presents, and many more.
