‘Big Brother’ evictee Laura Carter has hit back at her detractors, insisting there’s still a real double standard when it comes to women and sex.
Laura was booted out of the house in the most recent ‘BB’ eviction, claiming in her eviction interview that having sex with Marco Pierre White Jr, believing him to be in an open relationship with his then-girlfriend, was the “worst thing” she’d ever done.
However, she’s since clarified that she feels some of the criticism levelled towards her is unjust and even rooted in sexism.
Speaking to Digital Spy shortly after her elimination, Laura explained: “I think it's always the woman who gets the flak. I was a single girl. I went into that house as a single girl.
Laura is the latest housemate to get the boot, but - unbeknown to the remaining contestants - there’s still one last surprise in store, with two more of them getting the axe in a surprise double-eviction later today (24 July).
Following this, the remaining six contestants will battle it out to be crowned this year’s ‘BB’ winner, with the final kicking off on Tuesday (26 July) at 9pm on Channel 5.
