Musician Graham Coxon is giving unsigned bands the chance to support him on his upcoming tour by auditioning on his website.
The Blur guitarist heads out on a solo trek around the country in April and he's urging up-and-coming acts to upload a demo tape - and his fans can then vote for their favourites.
The most popular groups will be given a slot on the bill, and Coxon hopes it will lead to a party atmosphere at each gig on the tour.
He tells NME magazine: "I don't know if anyone has done something like this before, it just seemed like quite a good way of having something a bit different every night.
"And if the bands have a local fanbase, all the better - we get to have a right old knees-up."
Coxon is set to release his eighth solo album, A+E, as he launches the trek in April - a follow up to his last solo effort The Spinning Top in 2009, which he released before the Blur reunion took shape.
The musician will play a total of 14 dates on the tour, taking in cities including Oxford, Glasgow, Manchester and Brighton.
