Police Find Man's Body In House

Police are investigating after a man's body was discovered at a house.

The body of the elderly man was found in a house on Hobley Street, Willenhall, West Midlands, yesterday evening.

The house, and the area around Hobley Street and Fisher Street, have been cordoned off while police make inquiries at the scene and conduct forensic investigations, a West Midlands spokesman said.

Officers were called to the house shortly before 6.30pm after paramedics attended.

Despite the efforts of medical staff, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination is to be carried out to determine the cause of the death.

The man has been identified as an elderly local man, but no further details have been released.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist liaison officers, West Midlands Police said.
