It all began with Heidi Klum modestly tweeting a picture of her own bikini-clad figure while she relaxed on the beach.
But the soon-to-be ex Mrs Seal unwittingly started a craze now known as “bodysurfing” – where the subject snaps their own figure (usually including a substantial dose of cleavage and slender thigh) and posts it on Twitter.
Rihanna, Miranda Kerr, Leanne Rimes, Coco Austin, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Leah Michele, Kelly Osbourne and er, Sam Faiers have all jumped on the bandwagon.

And now Joe public has entered the fray. But it’s not limited to just exhibitionists eager to show off their best angles.
Nor is it limited to women, as the hairier of the sexes muscles in on the action too.
To spare the blushes of some, we’ve combined a gallery of celebs flaunting their physiques, along with members of the masses.

And we want you to send us yours too – whether you want to rub our noses in how great your diet is going, or show us what a real body looks like, we want to see it. Email your snaps to ukpicturedesk@teamaol.com using #bodysurfing
If that's not enough flesh for you, a campaign by Boobstagram encouraged women to post pictures of their bosoms in the name of breast cancer awareness. You're welcome.
And Huffington Post Women sparked its own orgy of flesh by appealing to women to send in pictures of their thighs - no airbrushing allowed. Bravo ladies!
