Flies, hairs and maybe the odd fingernail can often be unwelcome additions to our food but how about a live unexploded bomb?
That's exactly what a fishmonger on Southern China found when he went to gut a three foot long squid.
China's Guangzhou Daily newspaper identified the man as Mr Huang, who immediately called the police who took the device away, reports ITV.
Although rusty and old, the eight inch bomb was still live and had to be destroyed in a controlled explosion.
According to the Telegraph officials believe the bomb could have been dropped from a fighter jet and then consumed by the squid.
Huang said: “This sort of squid lives close to the shore and normally makes a meal of small fish and prawns
“Perhaps he thought the bomb was his favourite food and gulped it down.
"He certainly had a big belly when he was caught.”
