Penelope Cruz is rumoured to be following in the footsteps of Halle Berry, Gemma Arterton and Denise Richards in becoming the next Bond girl in the new 007 film.
A leaked document from Sony, who produce the Bond franchise, has named Penelope as a potential star of the next instalment in the saga, which will see Daniel Craig reprise the iconic 007 character.

A source told The Sun: “Bond bosses have been chasing her since Daniel became 007 in 2006. But schedules and her pregnancies meant it never materialised. At this stage no one at Sony will confirm it.”
Penelope certainly has the glamour required for the job, as she proved in the likes of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ and ‘Vicky Cristina Barcelona’, which won her the Oscar for ‘Best Supporting Actress’.
The new movie will be Daniel’s fourth playing James Bond, following on from ‘Skyfall’ in 2012, which starred Penelope’s husband Javier Bardem as the villainous Silva.
'Bond 24' will also star Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Ben Whishaw, who have all acted in previous instalments of the Bond film series.
Filming for the project is due to begin in November, with plans for a release in October next year.
