One-year-old Ella Peggie and her pet Snowy are best friends with a unique bond.
Ella, who has amniotic band syndrome, was born without her left arm and her puppy Snowy has only three legs.
When Ella's mum, Brooke Hodgson, 21, saw the dog online, she instantly got in touch with the Animal Welfare League of Queensland (AWLQ) to buy the pup for her daughter.
She told Daily Mail Australia: "I knew she was going to be perfect for Ella - they share the same age so they both have a long life of friendship ahead of them.
"I just know that Snowy is going to give her a confidence boost growing up. She will see the resemblance and know that she's not alone."
The escapades of Ella and Snowy and their unbreakable bond are documented on their Facebook page, showing what the pair get up to together.
Hodgson said when Ella was born she was worried how her disability would change her life, but she no longer feels it will hold her back.
She added: "She’s our beautiful, happy and healthy little girl and I can’t ask for anything more."
The mum-of-two said she feels lucky she was able to give her daughter a dog that she can grow close with.
In the sweet photo below on Facebook, Hodgson described the pair's friendship as one Ella will "thrive off for the rest of her life".
Hodgson said Ella and Snowy cuddle up together and give each other kisses all the time.
She said Snowy will always look for Ella before she runs to anyone else.
Aw.
Trying to warm up with a mid morning play!
