The mayor of snow-hit Boston has been forced to step in after residents started sharing videos of themselves jumping into huge piles of the white stuff in only their underwear.
"It’s a foolish thing to do and you could kill yourself," Mayor Marty Walsh said in a speech on Monday.
One Boston resident told the Huffington Post she hadn't even heard of the social media phenomenon until Walsh's announcement.
"I'm putting that on my to-do list," Christina Phaup said.
February has been Boston's snowiest month ever, with blizzards dropping six feet of powder and stopping the city in its tracks.
And it's even better with slow-motion:
Mayor Walsh wasn't the only kill-joy to try and stop the fun.
"It can certainly be life-threatening," Dr. Tom Nowicki, an emergency physician in Hartford, Connecticut, said. "It would be very unfortunate to break your neck and lose function of your arms and legs from something that was intended to be fun.
"There could be anything underneath that's covered by the snow."
