A photo of the heartwarming moment a courageous nine-year-old was kissed by his football hero Gary Jones has become an internet hit.
After beating a brain tumour, Bradford City fan Jake Turton was chosen as a mascot for his team when they played Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup.
And when his idols beat the Villans to become the first Fourth Tier club to reach a major Wembley Final, skipper Gary Jones ran over to the youngster and gave him a smacker and his shirt.
It was a moment that Jake, from Halifax, West Yorkshire, described as 'the best of my life'.
The schoolboy said: "Gary came up and said 'I remember you', gave me a kiss and his shirt. He's definitely my favourite player now."
Jake had a nine-hour brain operation after being diagnosed with cancer in October 2009. He was in a coma for 10 weeks and endured six months of gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Earlier on the day of the big match, Jake and parents Cath, 45, and Andy, 48, were told he was two-and-a-half years into remission.
Season ticket holders Andy and Jake will be at Wembley to cheer on their heroes.
Cath said: "He's doing so well. To get the news he's been in remission for two-and-a-half years was incredible."
