So many people walk their life stressing over things, it seems to be the norm - not to mention people having anxiety attacks or those who are taking medication for the issue. It is like the majority of 20-40 year olds are now determined to deal with the symptoms rather than the cause. So many people I have met are on some form of anxiety or mood medication. The most ironic thing of all is that these are people most would never guess would suffer from stress in the first place. They appear funny, outwardly successful, socially smooth, and able to make friends easily. It seems to be that the majority of people live in a state of distress about one thing or another, whether it is money, love or how big their nose appears in a profile shot.

Isn't that absolutely crazy - or am I the only one which thinks that this is something we really need to really address? Break it down - think of it like this; what happens when you stress about things? You immediately start to disconnect from what is happening around you, you become overly pressured, you start to snap at people around you, you breakdown relationships, your body begins to breakdown because of the extra strain, you become sick, you push away opportunities because you are out of harmony with the flow of life. So there is no way that your stress does not have an on flow affect on those you interact with.

So; I came up with this little trick/technique/method that you can do wherever you are, whatever you are doing, to simply stop the freak out. I don't have a name for it, I don't claim to have made it up (I could have, I am very creative after all), but I did not copy this from anywhere, this is just what Spirit told me to teach people.

•First off I want you to breathe three times deeply in through your nose, and then out through your nose.

It's important to take your time with each of these breaths; you need to really focus on the rhythm of the breathing, enjoy each breath you take in.

•Secondly breathe three times deeply in through your nose and then out through your mouth.

•Thirdly breathe three times deeply in through your mouth and out through your mouth.

That is all it takes, if you do it successfully you will feel buzzed all over your body. When you stress you immediately start to disconnect from your body and shallow breathing occurs. Even when concentrating in a non stressed way you might notice a lack of breathing occurring. The breath is the vital energy force, your body needs it, yet we do not focus enough on the importance of making sure we do it properly.

The more you focus on breathing the more you will notice your body relaxes, the tension dissipates and whatever the issue is it starts to become apparent and able to deal with, rather than a total sense of foreboding which often contributes to the onset of anxiety attacks.

When you separate from that feeling you feel energised and cleared, try giving the issue up to the Universe. I say 'Dear Universe; I give up, I don't know how to handle this situation (name it), so I give it up and ask for your help.' Then let it go, by doing this you ask for help which invokes a response from the Spirit (they will not help unless you have given them permission), and the surrender is the final important part to allow the shift to occur.

Stress and anxiety appear for a reason; to tell you that something is out of sync and to act upon it before it manifests as sickness or attracting a negative experience. You have forewarning, that is the feeling, and by shifting how you feel you will step into a different path.

Before it seemed possible for people to sweep their issues under the rug, but nowadays things happen quickly that is impossible. Spirit wants everyone to heal and release their crap; it is inevitable that things will keep rearing their head until you deal with them. It is not to punish you it is to free you!

Don't leave stress unchecked, breathe deeply and ask for help, you will be amazed how quickly this will change your day to day feeling.
