Brian Dowling has tied the knot with his partner, in the first gay celebrity wedding since same-sex marriage was made legal in Ireland.
The ‘Big Brother’ winner, who also went on to present the reality show in its early days on Channel 5, married Arthur Gourounlian at the Powerscourt Hotel in County Wicklow on Thursday (30 July).
In photos posted by guests on Instagram, the pair can be seen in their matching Tom Ford suits, with big red corsages.
The grooms were joined at the ceremony by Brian’s ‘BB2’ co-star Narinder Kaur, who served as a bridesmaid, and celebrity PR Simon Jones, who acted as Brian’s best man.
Former ‘X Factor’ judge Louis Walsh was also among the famous guests, while former Steps singer Claire Richards also sang at the reception.
Married TV presenters Tess Daly and Vernon Kay and former Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh were also reported to be in attendance.
Brian and backing dancer Arthur recently legally married in the UK after three years of dating, unsure if gay marriage would be legalised in Ireland.
But after the law was passed in March, the couple decided they wanted to tie the knot in front of all their friends and family.
