There is still no sign of our Bunny Cap, last seen on the head of William Shakespeare.
Maybe I should explain.
During the opening days of the Olympics we were involved in an exciting project called Hatwalk, in which 21 milliners gave iconic London statues a headwear makeover.
The Hatwalk initiative, bought together emerging and established headwear designers - each of whom created bespoke headpieces to sit atop landmarks such as Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square.
Our chosen statue was William Shakespeare in Leicester Square. Perfect! we thought; William Shakespeare will look wonderful in a red Bunny Cap, and we set about making a giant Bunny Cap for The Bard.
Any-road-up the Bunny Cap was put on the head of William at 2.30am on Monday 30th of July and by 8.30am it had been stolen! It got nicked before we even had a chance to see it.
The statue is 10m high, surrounded by a fountain and in a locked garden within the square....so it was quite a feat to get it.
A twitter campaign was launched, #bringbackthebunny, and a reward was offered, but it still hasn't appeared!!
