If it’s one thing each series of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is guaranteed to throw up, it is one of those unexpected moments where a contestant completely takes the judges by surprise.
And one such incident occurs during Wayne Woodward’s audition, which is set to air on the ITV talent competition on Saturday (16 April) night.
The 20-year-old singer shocks the panel when he opens his mouth to sing a rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘The Way You Look Tonight’, having walked on-stage sounding like Danny Dyer.
His cockney accent even prompts judge Alesha Dixon to comment on his vocal resemblance to the ‘EastEnders’ actor.
“Is Danny Dyer from your area because you sound exactly the same?” she asks, as Wayne tells them he is from Sutton in Surrey.
“No, he sounds like me!” Wayne jokes.
His performance also surprises Ant and Dec, with Ant commenting: “Well I wasn’t expecting that!”
However, he’ll be hard-pressed to impress Simon Cowell, who is a big fan of swing music - will his audition be enough for him to make it through to the next round?
Find out on Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
