Britain's Got Talent Could Get Saucy With Beatrix Von Bourbon's Burlesque Routine - Ofcom Will Be Watching!

How Saucy Is Britain's Beatrix Going To Get?

Britain's Got Talent bosses are set to screen saucy dancer Beatrix Von Bourbon's latest routine before the watershed, despite being investigated by Ofcom for her last appearance.

The burlesque star drew dozens of complaints when she stripped to knickers, a corset, stockings and nipple tassels during her audition.

The tattooed performer was seen peeling off in an early evening slot and the show went on to be given a daytime repeat.

And she is now expected to appear again during a live heat before the 9pm watershed later this week after winning through to the semi-finals.

Regulator Ofcom launched an investigation into the ITV1 broadcast last month after more than 70 viewers claimed it was unsuitable for a family audience.

Von Bourbon, a dancer and fetish model who performs in lingerie and feathers with saucy routines in clubs, was put through to the next round of BGT after winning the approval of each of the judges.

Producers managed to censor the footage on the pre-recorded show by obscuring her chest with small gold stars, but it is not known whether she will have to tone down her act or whether producers may use some other method to obscure too much flesh. The show is often watched by a family audience.

Producers are understood to see her routines as a stylised mix of dance, mime, comedy and theatrics, rather than simply stripping.

A spokeswoman for ITV said: "Given the family audience that BGT attracts, we consider very carefully the suitability of all performances, before the acts go on stage for the live shows."

Ofcom is looking into whether Von Bourbon's appearance fell foul of the broadcasting code, which says children should be "protected by appropriate scheduling from material that is unsuitable for them"
