A British man has died while diving on the Great Barrier Reef on Friday, an Australian tourism company has said.
The 60-year-old certified diver from England became the third person to die on the reef in as many days.
He was rescued from the bottom of the ocean at Agincourt Reef, near Port Douglas, after he was seen to have had his breathing regulator out of his mouth, the Association of Marine Park Tourism Operators said.
The company's executive director Col McKenzie said: "After an extended effort with no response, the diver was declared dead."
