BT will offer free OnLive cloud gaming to its broadband customers from today.
OnLive's disc and software-free gaming service which launched today at Eurogamer Expo, revolutionises the way players, and viewers, access games, allowing them to play on an HDTV via the OnLive Game System on any PC, Mac, smart phone or tablet via the internet.
The free offer gives gamers unlimited access for three months to OnLive's "PlayPack" package of more than 100 games including the brand new Batman: Arkham Asylum, Deus Ex. The pack is worth £9.95 per month.
Earlier this week, Steve Perlman, OnLive Founder, told Huffington post: "OnLive will be transformative in how people think of video games. You can casually browse around all the games we have, so the barriers to entry of playing and appreciating games are completely removed. Instead of queueing for a disc, or having to download huge demo files, you can start playing immediately. And if you've never played anything ever, you just want to see what gaming is all about, you can log on and watch other people play."
Non-BT customers can access OnLive £39.99 worth of games for £1 at the OnLive website, while Eurogamer Expo attendees have been treated to a £69.99 OnLive Game System.
