Although the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge touched down in the LA yesterday, their welcome to the States was a particularly British affair.
William and Kate, who wore a now sold-out (naturally) Roksanda Ilincic lavender Peridot dress, were greeted by a number of British and US dignitaries before being whisked off to attend a summit and later a reception at the British Consul General's home.
For the party, Kate looked immaculate in an emerald green Diane von Furstenberg Maja dress, which she accessorised with a clutch by the same designer, and her favourite pair of beige heels.
Other guests at the affair included William's cousin Lord Freddie Windsor, Stephen Fry and David Beckham, though wife Victoria, who is due to give birth to a baby girl any moment, was understandably absent.
Tonight the Royal couple will be attending a black-tie BAFTA reception to promote British creative talent – we're expecting true Hollywood glamour!
