Calvin Harris Breaks Silence On Taylor Swift Split

Calvin Harris has broken his silence on his split from Taylor Swift. 

The Scottish DJ confirmed reports the pair had pulled the plug on their 15 month relationship, having first met through mutual friend Ellie Goulding. 

Writing on Twitter, Calvin said: "The only truth here is that a relationship came to an end & what remains is a huge amount of love and respect."

While Taylor is yet to address the split directly, she did retweet Calvin's message to her followers. 

Meanwhile, latest reports suggest it was Calvin - real name Adam Wiles - who called time on their relationship last week.

A source told E! News: "Taylor and Adam had no big blowout fight, but the romance just was not there anymore for them. Adam is the one that ended it. It was all done in a very mature fashion. Taylor is pretty upset but they are still in communication."

The insider added that Taylor rushed to his side after he was involved in a car accident last week and has been "supportive". 

Just last month Taylor gushed about their “magical relationship” in an interview with Vogue magazine. 

“I’m just taking things as they come. I’m in a magical relationship right now," she said. 

“And of course I want it to be ours, and low key... This is the one thing that’s been mine about my personal life.”

Before meeting Calvin, the ‘Shake It Off’ singer had previously dated stars including Jake Gyllenhaal, Harry Styles and Taylor Lautner, while the 'This Is What You Came For' hitmaker had a high-profile romance with Rita Ora.
