Can You Drink Your Way To Better Skin, Hair And Nails?

A drink that promises younger-looking skin, glossy hair and healthy nails sounds too good to be true, doesn't it? Yet these potion-like formulas are now available as liquid alternatives to supplements.

Beauty In launched a range of "Ailemtics" last year - products that support the digestion of nutrients that are missing in our diets.

The Beauty Drink sits alongside the Beauty Tea and Beauty Candy collections and thanks to its UK launch at London Fashion Week's Autumn/Winter 2014 shows, these sporty-looking bottles have got people talking.

So - what are these drinks meant to do?

There are eight different flavours to choose from. Four are focused on beauty benefits and the other four are for improving wellness.

Pear, green tea and coconut? That's the one for brightening skin, thanks to a mix of vitamin E, calcium, fibre and collagen protein.

Raspberry, blueberry and acai? That's to keep you feeling energised and ready for the day ahead.

Other varieties include the lychee and white tea drink for strengthening nails and a nectarine and red tea blend for happiness. Yes, there's a drink to make you feel happy.

As for the ingredients, the drinks are enriched with hydrolyzed collagen to improve firmness in the skin, as well as vitamins, minerals and fruit extracts.

There are no added sugars or preservatives either. But how do they taste? Team MyDaily put them two of them to the test:

The drink: Cucumber, lemon and aloe vera with vitamin E, calcium, fibre and collagen

The taste: The aloe vera and cucumber kept this drink fresh, but the strong lemon fragrance made it shampoo-like. It is also very sweet.

The drink: Raspberry, blueberry and acai with vitamins B and D, folic acid, calcium and collagen

The taste: Sugary and fruity but its taste is almost medicinal.

The verdict? If you've got a sweet tooth, you'll be able to handle these as it hides most of the healthier flavours. As for their beauty-boosting powers? We reckon you'd have to get through a lot of these before you see any difference.
