Kylie Minogue has made a stylish arrival in Cannes to promote Holy Motors, a sci-fantasy film in which she takes on the role of Eva and also sings the soundtrack.
Described as Leos Carax's (Boy Meets Girl) comeback film, Holy Motors follows Denis Levant as Mr Oscar - a mysterious man who plays role after role, living different lives within the movie.
It is one of the 22 films in competition for the prestigious Palme d'Or prize.
Speaking about working with Kylie on the set, Carax told Allure Of Sound.com: “Until recently, all I knew about Kylie were her name and her 1990s’ duet with Nick Cave.
"And then Claire Denis mentioned her to me for a different project I was supposed to shoot in London. Kylie is purity itself. Shooting with her was the gentlest experience I’ve ever had on a set.”
